The Story Behind the Work

Every woman on these stairs is part of the story now. Thank you for being here at the beginning. 🌸

My idea for the Washington Impact Group was born of a simple yet powerful observation. There are brilliant, accomplished leaders in all of us who have done everything right and still feel something is missing. You’ve climbed, achieved, and arrived but feel a need for more. Not more success. More significance. I wanted to create a safe space specifically for those who are asking, "What am I building that will actually last?"

A welcome poster in warm, soothing tones of deep rose, warm tan, and cream greeted guests at the entrance, filled with the scents of lavender and chamomile. I wanted to set the stage before a single word was spoken. I love flowers and the bliss they inspire, filling the space in rich hues, accented by lush eucalyptus, cascading greenery, and the kind of botanical beauty that breathes life. The food was elegantly displayed on gold-and-white tiers. Each recipe, handcrafted with care and reminiscent of the togetherness food brings, was beautiful, creative, and delicious. The women commented on it throughout the afternoon, not just the taste but the love behind it as they enjoyed their choice of signature beverages, “Rooted” and “The Rising.”

Good food, great company, and the start of something meaningful. Nourishing the body while we celebrated, nourishing the soul. ❤️

As guests settled in, I moved throughout the room, welcoming each woman personally with a smile and a grateful heart. The atmosphere was calm, intentional, and deeply personal. Women who arrived as strangers began to connect. I shared the vision, mission, and story behind the Washington Impact Group, and they were captivated. The energy in the room blossomed as we did the quiet time and reflective exercises. The room was still, and it was transformative. Each woman held her card, sat with it, and wrote what needed to be released. When it was time to share, they did openly, courageously, and clearly. As the stories flowed, encouragement filled the space.

This is the heart of the work: real conversations, real courage, real transformation. Watching these women lean in, reflect, and rise together was everything. ✨

Then came the live coaching, and the room lit up. The questions were precise. The silence was powerful. The breakthrough was visible. The unveiling of the CORE framework – Chosen, Overcomer, Resilient, Empowered – was felt by all. Women who came in carrying the weight of their challenges left feeling seen, supported, and far less alone than when they arrived.

Before this event even came to life, I envisioned a community where leaders could come together across every dimension of their lives, careers, relationships, professional growth, faith journeys, and personal development to do the inner work that makes the outer impact possible.  A community rooted in faith, rising with purpose, and making a lasting impact in the lives of others. I believe you cannot pour from an empty vessel. You must put on your oxygen mask first to be equipped and empowered to serve. That is not selfishness. That is stewardship. And great leaders understand the difference.

My moment of clarity came when I began asking myself, "Is this all there is?" I had the title, office, and recognition that I had dreamed of and worked so hard to achieve, yet I felt empty. I began seeking God for answers. Had I missed something in my drive to climb the success ladder? The answer came after a wilderness season where I felt alone, isolated, confused, and completely lost. “Yes, the ladder you were climbing is not the one you need in this season.” That was the moment I knew my life was moving in a new, more significant direction. Everything I experienced on that ladder prepared me for where I am now and where I am going. I am a chosen overcomer who is resilient and empowered for the journey, and I’m not going alone.

This launch was designed as an event because I wanted to bring people into the room, into the experience, so they could feel the work before committing to it. The event was the formation of a community supported by individual and group coaching services—a space where you can discover the next steps along your path.

At its core, Washington Impact Group gives leaders the tools, best practices, and the accountability needed to achieve clarity, courage, and confidence to become the best version of themselves so they can make the greatest impact on others. 

Rooted in who you are. Rising toward what you are called to do. And taking others with you.
